β¨ Candle Care
At The Sabal Collection, we craft our candles with intention β using clean, non-toxic ingredients to elevate your space with luxurious fragrance and peace of mind. To ensure the best experience, follow these simple care tips to keep your candle burning beautifully from first light to final flicker.
πΏ First Burn is the Most Important
Allow your candle to burn until the entire surface has melted, especially on the first use β this helps prevent tunneling and promotes an even burn throughout the life of the candle.
β³ We recommend a full melt pool for 2β3 hours on your first burn.
βοΈ Trim Your Wick
Before each burn, trim the wick to ΒΌ inch. A trimmed wick means a cleaner burn, less soot, and a longer-lasting candle.
Use a wick trimmer or clean scissors β never tear the wick, as it may fray or break unevenly.
π₯ Keep It Clean & Centered
After burning, gently recenter the wick (if needed) and remove any debris, such as matches or trimmings, from the wax pool.
A centered wick ensures an even burn and helps avoid glass overheating.
π―οΈ Know When to Stop
Discontinue use when about Β½ inch of wax remains. This protects your surfaces and the vessel from heat damage.
π¨ Safety First, Always
Never leave a burning candle unattended
Burn on a heat-resistant, stable surface
Keep away from drafts, pets, children, and flammable objects
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time
π± Sustainable Tip
All of our candle vessels are thoughtfully chosen to be repurposed. Once your candle is finished, clean out the jar and give it new life β as a planter, a pen holder, or a chic little catch-all.
Thank You for Choosing Clean Luxury β¨
We're so grateful to be part of your space. Caring for your candle is just another way to slow down, be intentional, and enjoy every glow-filled moment.
π Candle Size Guide
Not sure which size is right for your space? Here's a quick guide to help you choose the candle that best fits your room β and your mood.
Size Comparison at a Glance
| Size | Weight | Wicks | Burn Time | Best For | Scent Projection |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Votive | 2 oz | 1 | Up to 10 hours | Small spaces: bathroom, nightstand, desk | Intimate β fills a small area gently |
| Classic | 9 oz | 1 | Up to 45 hours | Medium spaces: bedroom, home office, dining room | Comfortable β steady, room-filling fragrance |
| 2 Wick | 11 oz | 2 | Up to 55 hours | Larger spaces: living room, open-plan areas, entryway | Full β robust scent that carries across a larger volume |
π How to Choose Your Size
Think about room size first. A single wick carries fragrance beautifully in a contained space. As room volume grows β higher ceilings, open floor plans, or connected areas β a second wick helps the scent project evenly without burning the candle harder than it was designed for.
Votive (2 oz Β· up to 10 hrs) β Perfect as an accent in a powder room, on a bedside table, or at a place setting. It's also a lovely way to try a new scent before committing to a larger size.
Classic (9 oz Β· up to 45 hrs) β Our most versatile size. Light it in a bedroom, home office, or dining room and it will quietly fill the space with fragrance during a typical burn session. The single wick keeps the burn calm and controlled.
2 Wick (11 oz Β· up to 55 hrs) β Designed for rooms where you need scent to travel. Two wicks create a wider melt pool faster, so fragrance disperses more efficiently across a larger or taller space. Ideal for living rooms, open-concept kitchens, or any room where a single wick feels underwhelming.
π‘ As a general rule: if your room is smaller than roughly 200 sq ft, the Votive or Classic is a great fit. For larger or open spaces, the 2 Wick is the better choice.
A Note on Burn Times
Burn times are based on following proper candle care β trimming the wick to ΒΌ inch before each burn and keeping the candle away from drafts. Actual results may vary based on your environment.
