The Inspiration Behind Our Summer Collection: A Journey Through Scent

At The Sabal Collection, every candle begins with a memory—an emotional spark, a place, a feeling that’s too beautiful not to share. For our upcoming Summer Collection, we wanted to do something more than just bottle a season. We wanted to take you on vacation. We wanted to give you summer in a candle.

Our first fragrance in this dreamy new collection is Mykonos Sunset.

This scent was born from a longing for warmth, light, and escape. We envisioned the golden Mediterranean sun melting into the Aegean Sea, the soft breeze curling through the salty air, the kind of evening where your skin is still warm from a day spent basking under the sun. That’s Mykonos Sunset.
It’s the feeling of sunkissed skin and soft laughter echoing down whitewashed alleyways. The scent of sun, citrus, and creamy coconut—the perfect balance of vibrant and relaxing. Tropical yet refined. Bright, clean, warm, and fun. It's vacation in a candle.

But beyond the fragrance itself, Mykonos Sunset is about how we want you to feel. With every collection, my goal is to take you somewhere—to evoke a memory, stir an emotion, and transport you out of the ordinary. I want these candles to feel like an experience, like a moment you’ve lived and loved and can return to anytime you light the wick.

Our second summer scent, Vineyard in Bloom, tells a different story—one of elegance, nature, and celebration.

I found my inspiration wandering through the lush gardens and vineyards of the Biltmore Estate in Asheville and Dumbarton Oaks in Washington D.C. The sun filtering through the vines. The gentle scent of grapes ripening on the vine. Flowers in full bloom. A glass of champagne in hand. There’s a feeling of timeless sophistication in those places—an effervescent luxury that’s both grounded and ethereal.

Vineyard in Bloom captures that feeling: fresh florals, ripe fruit, and the subtle sparkle of celebration. It’s a scent that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and let yourself be wrapped in beauty.
